Never use dish soap to wash your car.  It might look clean afterward, but the problem is that the dish soap will strip away the wax or sealant designed to protect the vehicle.  Dishwashing soaps are not Ph balanced and will actually dull the vehicles finish, and that is definitely what we don’t want to have happen!  It’s also too abrasive.  Car wash soap that anyone can but at the local retail store has soaps designed to wash your car.  It’s relatively inexpensive and is definitely worth the cost.  It doesn’t directly damage the paint, but it take the protection away.  Never use dish soap to wash your car.  Another general rule of thumb is to use cold water to wash with, because hot water will also help strips away the waxes and protection for your vehicle, which is exactly what we don’t want to do.
